Ruddell Auto Mall & Ruddell Hyundai will be hosting the annual July “Ruddell Cruise In” on Friday, July 10th.  This year marks the 13th year the dealership has hosted the event.   “We expect this year’s show to be a repeat with over 400 cars,” says dealer Howard “Howie” Ruddell.  “We were full within 40 minutes of opening the gate last year and expect the same again.  This year, we have advance registration available online.”  Members from nearly a dozen different car clubs are expected, and individuals are welcome as well.  Co-hosting the event is the Old Timers car club from Bremerton.  “We expect cars from across Western Washington; from Bremerton, Tacoma, Puyallup, up to Bellingham, as well as some folks coming down from Canada again,” said Old Timers chairperson Jerry Scott.  “This is a big event, and we are expecting this year’s Cruise In to set a new attendance and display record on the Peninsula.”

Entertainment will be provided by the band “The Way Back Machine.”  There will be a benefit dunk tank featuring various local celebrities, with proceeds going to support local charities.  Radio 1450 will be on site to provide a live remote prior to, and during the event.  Food will be offered for a nominal charge.  Those wishing to display a car can register online, or can register the day of the show at the entrance.  The first one hundred registrants will receive a free event T-short.  Parking will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Trophies will be awarded for a variety of categories, including Best of Show, Peoples Choice and Farthest Distance Travelled.  There is no charge for admission, or for display.  Please note, due to the limited number of spaces, project cars (those not completed) are not allowed.

The Cruise In was started thirteen years ago by the late H. “Mac” Ruddell in 1996 with the help of Old Timers car club rod run chairman Jerry Scott of Bremerton.  After success in the initial years, the car club and the dealerships forged a long-term relationship and the event has grown every year since its inception.  The Cruise In is open to the public and is free of charge.

Ruddell Auto Mall and Ruddell Hyundai are open Mondays through Saturdays from 8:00 am until 6:00pm and can be reached at 1800-284-6822.
