Re: Reading PALs to discuss The Course of Honour by Lindsey Davis

The Course of Honour by Lindsey Davis will be discussed by the Reading PALs book discussion group at 6:30 PM Wednesday September 23rd at the Port Angeles Main Library.

Richly imagined and described, this love story of the slave girl Caenis, and the young provincial, Vespasian (later to become Emperor) transports the reader back to the turbulent days of the Roman Caesars. No stranger to the ways of Ancient Rome, Lindsey Davis has also written a long series of mystery novels with this setting and is past president of the Classical Association, a British Society which promotes education about classical studies.

Copies of Course of Honour are available for check-out through the Library catalog, or from the Port Angeles Main Library Reference Desk. Pre-registration for the discussion is not required and drop-ins are always welcome. The October meeting of the Reading PALs will take place on Wednesday, October 28 to discuss The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
