How Many Days Until the Hood Canal Bridge Closes?

The Hood Canal Bridge will close in May for six weeks of construction, and all of us on the Peninsula are watching this carefully.  Unless you are a very good swimmer, you will want to plan accordingly.  Of course, we can drive around all the way down Highway 101 through Olympia, or we might have a ferry into Port Angeles, but planning ahead is good.

With that in mind, here is your countdown.  There are

until bridge closure.

  1. Olympic Bus Lines is coordinating with the Department of Transportation to provide twice daily service from Port Angeles, Sequim, and Port Townsend to Edmonds, Seattle Greyhound, Seattle Hospitals, Seattle Amtrak, and SeaTac Airport utilizing ferry service from Port Townsend to Keystone, then Clinton to Mukilteo en route to Seattle. Olympic Bus Lines will have priority loading status on these ferries, so the schedule will be very similar to the current seven days per week service provided.
